Through a conversation with the sounds of everyday objects, "Indecent Whispers" refers to the soundscapes of introspection and to the renewed listening experiences that emerged during lockdown: "a recurrent silence has fallen over our ears, one that has interrupted the rhythms of everyday life and given a different kind of framework of slowness and solitude to the usual haste and hurry of our hyper-modernized, and accelerated lives, perhaps arousing a sensation of repose and exacerbating self-awareness (...) The sounds of everyday objects in the private landscape, such as fans, refrigerators, flushes and the solitary table-lamps, reverberate evermore to our ears as if sounding their presence in our lives as talkative but grounding entourage. They are the immediate and true companions in this continuing and never-ending self-quarantine, isolation and solitary confinement."
