Seriously devoted to the bizarre looking device known only as “La Caja'' —an industrial piece of ancient gear, originally used for calibrating other electronic appliances— Ignacio Cordoba is a Copenhagen-based Spanish musician and sound explorer. Responsible for the enigmatic label MAGIA, his underwater sounds, bubbly atmospheres and melancholic mermaid calls have been immortalised on a few relevant recordings, also having conducted him throughout several European tours since 2011.

Together with the theremin master Pamelia Stickney, it was actually Nacho who inaugurated our “Ressonância'' intimate live sessions back in 2017, which is currently past its 30th edition. We would have the pleasure to host him again later that year for yet another sound performance, this time within the context of MEIA —Aveiro’s Experimental and Improvised Music Festival. Nacho and Pamelia would also meet again in 2018, in Vienna, where they would collaborate for a live recording session at Amann Studios.
